Colocation data center design
SiTESPAN transformed a 107,000 SF warehouse into a state-of-the-art data facility. The scope included demolition of the existing parking area and construction of a new equipment yard and screen wall to house 11 critical power generators. A 25,000 SF data hall was built with raised access flooring, two MMR rooms, power rooms, and office space. Structural upgrades reinforced existing steel columns and the roof to support a rooftop dunnage platform for mechanical equipment, including CRAC condensing units.
The existing roof was removed and replaced. DEN5 equipment installations included (2) 3MW critical power generators, 2 docking stations and transformers, (1) 450KW house power generator for life/safety systems, (16) 250KW CRAC units in the data hall with associated condensing units, and (4) 25KW CRAC units in power rooms with corresponding condensing units on the dunnage platform.
